| - Java U's coffee is cheaper than Tim Horton's!!
With their morning special, you can get any size for 1.50$ + tax = 1.75$
(Ok ok, that's only 20-30 cents cheaper than Tim's - but still - you save like 1$ every week---).
They have a fun self-serve station with at least 5 kinds of Natrel milk, including maple milk!! However, because they fill up their cups to the brim, people who want to add sugar or milk in their coffee must first pour out some... into the garbage bin next to the self-serve station. I sure hope it's a plastic tank underneath. Java U offer a large selection of food, including baked goods, smoothies, sandwiches, quiche, pasta, wraps, a salad bar, etc. They also used to sell cronuts - these monstruously greasy donut and croissant hybrids - but I'm not sure if they still do.
They have tons of seating space, although it's rather empty most of the time during summer. Maybe because the seats don't look as cozy and inviting as that of, let's say, Starbucks? Nevertheless, it's quite different during the school year, especially during exam sessions. Sleep-deprived students flood all the coffee shops near McGill, and Java U is no exception.
