With the low reviews I was a little concerned about using this hospital but I needed to go to the closest hospital and this was it. I was discharged today after an overnight stay.
Everyone here from Eileen my ER nurse, Serena(saved me with a late night turkey sandwich and ice cream) and nurses Pia
and Veronica, all were compassionate and caring women. There were many other highly skilled men and women that went above and beyond to make all the tests & procedures I had to endure as comfortable as possible. They were ALL 5 star people!
Here's why I gave 4 stars:
1.Trying to sleep while there was floor wax removal (4-5 guys scraping the floors by hand with putty knives) and a buffer going on most of the night in the hallway. This was working my last nerve. The nurses apologized numerous times for all the noise I imagine it was bad for them too trying to maneuver around all the people, noise and equipment.
2. Sharing rooms. It might be okay if both patients are in early enough but bringing patient #2 in at 3am and having to rearrange all the furniture, sliding chairs across the floor and banging walls to fit the gurney in, also made it impossible to sleep. Im not sure how they could assist one patient while not inconveniencing the other. Maybe they'll come up with a solution for this in the future.
3. After all the tests, I was discharged without the results of these tests. I did speak with Dr. Ruiz (once) and Dr Pham(twice), both were personable and very brief. I understand its a busy place but, I left with not a lot more data than when I went in. I would have preferred a quick explanation from the doctor after each test result. Im very literal and you need to show me so I can understand completely.
Overall:
I'd go back as I feel confident in their abilities to take care of me in any type of medical situation.
