  • I usually get my hair done in the Bay Area. Since I haven't been able to fly back, I had to find a new color stylist in AZ. I'm so glad I discovered Lisa on StyleSeat. I browsed her artwork on instagram at lisamarie_doeshair. When I saw her repost something from Guy Tang, that moment was the game changer. I love Guy Tang! It was easy to schedule an appointment online. I booked my appointment 2 months in advance to secure the date. Her schedule fills up pretty quickly, especially on Saturdays as she does not work on Sundays. You can also text her for an appointment. The salon is located next to Arby's, across the street from Safeway. As I arrived on a Saturday morning, the place was very busy. There were customers in the process of getting their hair done, and plenty of customers waiting their turns. Lisa greeted me with a smile, and took me to her station. She asked if I had a picture of what I wanted done. To keep me entertained, she offered to bring me magazines - fashion vs gossip. As she worked, she was very gentle with my hair. We had a lot of fun chatting about the latest movies and burger joints. She would offer water/coffee, and initiate questions about the health of my hair. I really appreciated the useful recommendations, such as trying pureology shampoo and brushing my scalp to stimulate hair growth. Originally, she was going for the partial balayage, and ended up with a full balayage to get rid of the yellow in my hair. She teased my hair and used foils. Lisa took care of my dark roots, and painted it with a brown base. After she washed my hair and blow-dried it, I was ecstatic to see the magical transformation of a dull yellow to a stunning blend of grey/brown with a tint of lavender. My hair was B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L. You know she did a fantastic job when other stylists kept on complimenting her. One even asked what formula she used. I highly recommend Lisa! She's a true artist, and has been working at the salon for 8+ years. The prices are fair. Remember to bring cash. I forgot to bring enough cash, and ended up buying something at Safeway to get cash back.
