The Marriott is known for its nice hotels and timeshares but this past weekend at the Residence Inn - Hughes Center this was not the case. This was the worst experience I've ever had using Marriott. Upon first entering this hotel, there was a strong sewage smell that followed us all the way up to the room and throughout the parking lot. It's surprising that the front desk aggressively shoves off the fact that they are subjecting guests to such a rotten and most likely health department violation situation as was the case with "Andrew." Aside from the rotten smell, the room lacked dish soap, adequate pillows (four adults and one child), utensils to cook with and clean bed sheets. The rotten smell seemed to be soaked into the bath towels and walls because it never left our environment. I got a huge headache from the smell and was so glad to leave when we did. We tried moving rooms but they were "all booked" and would call to let us know when another room would be available. Clearly, the quality of our stay was not priority. Please take my experience into consideration if deciding to stay at this location. It will not be worth the $500 spent for two nights of horror.
