Update: Colony American Homes is now Waypoint Homes... Change of name, but quality of service still sucks. When you need something addressed, they still ignore your calls and not return calls.
I don't recommend renting from this company.
I gave them my renters insurance by hand and later they contacted me saying i never gave it to them. How is it i am approved for this house and have lived in it for two weeks already and you're just now saying I never gave it to you? It was part of the application process in the beginning.
When the water heater broke, you have to jump through hoops and obstacles to get in touch with someone and wait forever for an approval. They'll send someone out to work on repairs but only when they are there, the repair man has to wait for an approval. Doesn't make any sense! They wouldn't approve for a new microwave that was broken by the previous tenants. All the repair guy can do was reapply glue over the old glue. If this thing falls and cuts my children, no doubt I will come at this company and their lack of concern for our safety.
Getting in touch with someone at the local office? Good luck. It'll go straight to voicemail. Their message says they'll call you back but guess what, it's been over 48 hours. I can't call during my work hours so I have even left an email. No responses once again!
I've never once receive an email from them unless they needed something from me. Last time I spoke with someone regarding an issue, she said she'd get back to me. But a week gone by, nothing.
Overall, customer service sucks.
