  • My son is finishing up his first year here. I enrolled him in their preschool thinking it was going to be like any other daycare. But it was far from, in a good way but took some adjusting. The preschool teacher at JCS is amazing! She's a perfect combo of providing warm compassionate care to the kids while also not hesitating to redirect them from poor behaviors and teaching them right from wrong. A family member of mine thought that she was too strict because she told my son to clean up his coloring supplies before he leaves, that's not strict that's her helping me teach him responsibility and i'm grateful for that! Then they have days where they cut loose and do something totally fun and safe like beach day or other activities. It's the perfect combo of a very trustworthy place for me to drop my son off at knowing he's learning, building his faith, as well as playing and running around like kids his age need to do. Class sizes are small. The teachers we've encountered so far have gone above and beyond to learn about each individual student and their learning styles, likes, dislikes, strengths, areas for improvement, and their home lives if the parent allows so they can incorporate that into learning which is brilliant because we all learn much better when the material is associated with something we already familiar too. I'm confident every penny I pay in tuition is worth what JCS provides for my son and my family. I read another review and was shocked. The kids are very well protected, no one has been rude or stuck up. Yes it is expensive but no more than other private schools and JCS helps families find money for tuition anyway they can. The families aren't rich and stuck up like the review said. I'm sure some are very well off, just like you would run into at a public school, but a lot are just like my family, we get buy on our income and cut out unnecessary spending to afford JCS but I wouldn't have it any other way because I know what JCS provides it's students is priceless. So we're not rich, we just chose to invest money we do have into raising a respectful, responsible, healthy, happy kid who has every opportunity open to him that he could possibly want and we feel JCS is the best choice to help us provide these things to our son.
