A couple friends and I stumbled upon this place on a Saturday night when we were out for a birthday. It looked dive-ey but we thought, hey why not, they had karaoke and we were just looking for a fun time. And I love a good dive bar! We did not eat here so I'm not critiquing food.
I might have given it more than 3 stars if the karaoke experience hadn't been so awful. I'm a karaoke freak and go to places all around the city and this place has to be the absolute worst I've ever been to. The host was rude and couldn't control the crowd. His book was apparently up to date but many of the numbers didn't match the actual songs. I've never seen a system that goes solely on numbers and you can't search artist or song separately. The sound was horrible, really loud feedback during songs, sometimes no music at all and the singers were just singing acapella, sometimes you couldn't hear the mics.
The bar has only 3 or 4 beers on tap but they're not bad...and some were local...BONUS! Our bartender Tony was great, she was sweet and efficient and chatted with us most of the night.
I'd go back again, but if I were you I wouldn't set foot in that place on a karaoke night, unless you like listening to feedback and people just yelling into a microphone. It's actually too bad since I've been looking for a local karaoke bar.....if you get a new host my friends and I would love to frequent this place more often
