  • This is our 3rd time dining at Honey Salt. The first time we came here was about 3 years ago and had a wonderful meal. The 2nd time was similar to our most recent disaster and we were hoping at the time that it was just an off night but it's obvious that it wasn't. My family came in from out of town and my wife and I took them here on the night of Sunday, April 23rd. We had a reservation and got seated immediately as the restaurant was mostly empty. The waitress took our drink orders - My Dad ordered a Stella Artois and we also ordered pitchers of Sangria. It took 15 minutes for the waitress to come back with waters and to also say that they're out of Stella Artois. No exaggeration - My Dad tried to order 4 more beers only for the waitress to come back and say that they don't have them anymore and need to update their menu. He finally says to just bring him any type of light beer similar to a Stella Artois only to be brought a beer that was as hoppy as a Sierra Nevada. The waitress finally brings the pitchers of Sangria after this debacle and it's completely watered down and gross. Manager comes over and apologizes and tells us that the Sangria is pre-made earlier in the day and must have gone bad.. he grabbed a straw, tasted it, and agreed. So we finally get some drinks and at this point we have been seated for 45 minutes and have finished the basket of bread. We ask for more bread and are told that they are all out of bread for the night... sigh. We ordered a couple appetizers/salads including the crab meat lettuce wraps which were delicious and the kale caesar salad which was also very good. Our dinner comes out and at this point we are seated for close to 2 hours. My Dad couldn't catch a break as the waitress forgot to ring in his flat bread so again the manager comes over and apologizes and says it will be made on the fly and out in a few minutes. 15 minutes go by and his pizza arrives under cooked and flavorless while all of us have pretty much completed our entrees. We didn't say anything about the flat bread and just chalked it up as a loss as my Mom ended up sharing her scallops with him. It's really unfortunate that they don't have their stuff together at all as the food and ambiance for the most part is great. As much as I want to love this place, my wife and I left there embarrassed that we brought our family there and unfortunately won't be returning.
