This was a very nice little inn in an up and coming area of Scottsdale next to papago Plaza. A#1 most important thing is that the area felt safe. The hotel was very inexpensive and their are a few areas of South Scottsdale that are a bit iffy. This is NOT one of them. I paid all of $50 a night for a weekend in mid May, and the rooms were extremely clean. Beds felt new and very comfortable. The grounds were very pretty and quaint. They had an estuary, and a nice pool. All the rooms face towards the courtyard. This place is very retro sheik 1950s-1960s, and well kept for its age. I love unique hotels, and hate hotel factories (think Holiday inn express/ Courtyard marriots) with no personality. This place was awesome, and had that uniqueness I look for. Good job. Loved the quirky person size chess board next to the pool too. That sold it.
