| - So exciting to have one of my favorite pizza joints in my hood. We were having dinner with a friend that loves pizza so we recommended trying this location of Pizza Rock. We had been to the location downtown many times, but hadn't had a chance to try the new one in GVR.
I called a few days prior to make a reservation. Gal on the phone was super nice and they were able to accommodate us within 15 minutes of our requested time. Then they called the morning of our reservation to confirm.
We arrived right at the time of our reservation and were taken directly to our table. The location within the casino is nice. It's right on the perimeter near parking so you can walk right into the casino and immediately turn into the restaurant, avoiding the locals smoking liking fiends. The décor is nice, very similar to the downtown location, and they have a patio, which is always a plus.
Our server - don't remember her name - was very nice and attentive. There are a couple of differences from the other location. I usually like getting the Romanos, which are all delicious, but on this visit we kept it simple. We got a regular pepperoni ( I know, don't judge, the kid requested it) and the New Yorker. Both were delicious. We also had the garlic bread, which was good, but nothing spectacular.
I always love the music at this place, but at times it can get loud. Yikes, I sound old! The only misstep this visit was that our garlic bread seemed to take an awful long time and arrived at the same time as the pizza, which kind of defeated the purpose of an appetizer.
