| - This location is AWFUL. I've been eating Coldstone my entire life and since moving to the Rhodes Ranch area, my family has been forced to frequent this location begrudgingly. It's understandable the area is popular, and as a result patrons will need to anticipate delayed service times, but the use of DIRTY utensils and food containers is unacceptable.
After standing in line for 30 MINUTES, I opted not to order a shake as the blender was caked in layers of dried ice cream, and not once did I witness an employee attempt to clean the device before continued use. Instead I placed an order for one of the franchise's signature creations in a to-go carrier. Not surprisingly, the employee preparing my dessert made my order wrong, including nuts instead of graham crackers. Not a huge deal. However, the amount of ice cream prepared failed to fill the container, and as a result a second layer of ice cream was added. He too failed to prepare the second layer correctly, neglecting to add Oreo cookies, the main mix-in, to my order. Once the order was "complete," he grabbed a to-go container from near the filthy blender, noticed particles in the bottom of the container, turned it over to dump out whatever was inside (in front of about 10 other people waiting in line for their dirty ice cream), and continued to pack my ice cream into the container. I asked him "Is that container clean? Because I witnessed something fall out of the bottom as you turned it over, and you've been making shakes in that filthy blender the entire time I've been waiting in line for my incorrect order." His response was "We are very busy as people like their ice cream, and I'm just trying to provide the best customer service I can," obviously sacrificing quality and standards for quickness.
While he packed my ice cream on the counter where the dessert was prepared, I asked him to clean the bottom of the container off as I started to notice ice cream building up along the bottom and sides of the container. Inconvenienced, he wiped down part of the bottom and tossed the container over the counter to me, where I continued to clean the container's bottom, sides, and along the top rim so ice cream didn't trickle down all over my car's interior on the drive home. Another tenuous exchange ensued at the cash register as I stated again my order was wrong and the possibility of it being prepared with unclean utensils was highly likely.
Needless to say, my family and I will not be frequenting this location of Coldstone in the future. Unfortunately, this was not our first experience with the location's sub-par customer service, and absolutely refuse to knowingly eat food prepared by a business where FDA standards and regulations are not strictly enforced. I would strongly advise avoiding this location.
