I really wanted to like this salon, I've had eyelash extensions on/off for years and decided to go to this place which would be so convenient from where I normally had gone. I've had 2 eyelash appointments and my technician was very sweet. They call/text before your appointment to remind you, which I appreciate. I have selected 3 stars for several reasons which I will explain next. Upon my first appointment I was surprised at the amount of paperwork you have to complete to become a client, almost like visiting a doctor except the paperwork is for legal purposes of you understanding that if anything happens it is not their fault- off putting, but fine.
I find these lashes do not last as long as from my previous business of choice. I prefer a more natural look so upon a 2 week fill they charge just as much as if you would get a full 2 week fill, even though my appointment takes much less time and material to complete. I have spoken with the manager about this and she told me in the future they are hoping to have a different system in place but for now this is company policy. I appreciated her honesty and understanding and I'm glad they're looking into this as a business.
For my third appointment I received a reminder call in which the receptionist in the phone said she needed to keep a credit card on file for me at all times in the event I would skip or cancel my appointment within the next 24 hrs. I confirmed that I would be there and she said my appointment would not be saved unless I gave her a credit card for the file. I told her to please cancel the appointment since I am not comfortable giving a card to be kept on file and to be used at their discretion.
I have never had a spa or salon demand to have access to personal finances in case I skipped or cancelled an appointment (which I have not done). With the rest of my experiences in feeling overcharged and like more of a paycheck than a cherished consumer, I find they make it difficult to be a customer.
