| - I remember when Vaughan Mills first opened a few years ago, there was a minor to-do about it. It was the first new mall in the GTA in years, and has a lot of stores that were previously not located in Canada, let alone Toronto. Some of those stores are useful (like the Nike Outlet Store--see my review for details), but unless you live nearby, or are looking for something specific, it may not be worth the trip.
Also, Vaughan Mills (the mall itself) is pretty tacky, and there hasn't been much effort made to turn it into a pleasant shopping experience. Look up as you stroll past the shops, and see the corrugated metal ceiling, just like at Wal-Mart! Or take one of the "shortcuts" between zones, which are really just ugly utility corridors. They remind me of the scene near the beginning of Terminator 2 (the last real Terminator), when the two Terminators are battling in the bowels of the Galleria mall....
