Every time I come here I leave unimpressed. If I had to sum up the Breakfast Club in one word, it'd be "meh." And if you don't consider "meh" to be a word, perhaps sampling the fare here would change your mind.
The service is consistently so-so. A solid 5 out of 10. My order has in some way been messed up more often than not, and it always takes a lot longer than you'd expect for a breakfast place. There's not really any ambience to speak of. An awkward side patio overlooking busy Scottsdale Road is perhaps their best feature.
Finally for the food. Although nothing has ever been terrible, I've also never sampled anything to write home about. And for the average plate being $9-$11, shouldn't it be well above average?? The answer is yes. Don't be duped by Scottsdale's higher price tag for, well, everything...Higher price should still equal better quality period!!
My final frustration is with their limited options for dietary modifications. I am vegetarian and I recently dined with a friend who is gluten free. I had to severely reduce my order to fit into the vegetarian requirements (they don't even have vegetarian black beans or any of their speciality sauces such as queso or green chili that don't have meat in them!!). No gluten free bread or pancake options...yet this is the "breakfast club"...enough people are vegetarian and/or gluten free in this day and age...shouldn't Breakfast Club get with the times??
