After getting my cars oil changed, Chris, the service reception desk manager told me my "battery was leaking from the top" and he had a replacement for $110.00. This was puzzling as I had examined my battery and it's water level just four days earlier. I declined the offer, signed the service invoice, paid, And left. It was a cut and dried transaction between Chris and myself taking maybe a couple of minutes. I then immediately went to auto zone who told me the battery was just fine and still under warranty! I then examined the service invoice Chris has given me the day before and noticed the batter diagnosis: "BATTERY-LEAKING FLUID FROM TOP" replacement order bad been(imperfectly) obliterated( see inset photos-you can still see those words, in red.)
I have three questions for you Mr.Weins
( as does the rest of southern Nevada's motoring public):
1. How can a non leaking battery be declared leaking?
2. Why would anyone replace a battery still under warranty?
3. Why would Chris( he was the only one there) attempt to obliterate the battery diagnosis/replacement offer you can still see the 110.00 figure on the right) ?
