  • Even with all of the resent aviation incidents people still insist on flying. Why? Because time is a valuable resource. I live in Downtown Toronto and fly to the New York/New Jersey area at least a couple times a month for business. If Porter has flights from Toronto to where ever you are going I urge you to go to Billy Bishop. Its cleaner then Pearson, it's more accessible by TTC, the time going through security and customs is cut in half, and Porter has complimentary drinks and snacks in their lounges for everyone not just VIPs as Air Canada does. Unfortunately Porter only does shorter flights due to the "no jets" rule. Torontonians envy New York, London and Tokyo. We want to be on that list of modern international cities very badly. But everything comes at a cost weather its monetary like building a subway out to Pearson would be or a cost in some other form as the added noise population allowing small jets into Billy Bishop would be. Either we take the plunge or we except that were ok with Toronto being in the top 20 and not the top 10 of all those city rankings. Food for thought.
