Really, how bad can a car rental be...in this case brutal.
They don't mention that you have to take the new train from your terminal to then be picked up at a station by the shuttle bus. No problem with taking the train but they took over half an hour to pick me up from the train station place. The pick up van was dirty and had total side swipe damage down the side...ghetto van!
At the desk as one kid was helping a nice couple he was talking to his buddy on the phone on how hard core he went on the long weekend. Wow.
The young guy at the counter did his best to justify the bug smeared dirty exterior of the car by telling me their "bay was broken". He broke down and gave me 10 percent off my rental when i sat in the driver seat and showed him a gob of some lady's hair weave next to the gear shift. Foul.
As I drove the car I found peanut shells, more hair gobs, chewed gum in wrappers and coke in the consul. They didn't even have the courtesy to vacuum the car out after the previous renters. Was the entire bay broken? Hey Discount, here's a loonie, maybe go out on a limb and take the cars to the gas station next door and giv'er a vacuum.
I'm fairly certain it wasn't a manpower issue as there were a bunch of staff there and two guys in the van that picked us up.
Hey, I've driven my share of purple Hyundai Accents for $19.99 a day, so I am not in need of perfection. Just have some pride in your company and at least make some effort to give your customers a clean car and decent service.
Two thumbs down and I am still gagging at the thought of the hair balls.
