  • While overall being at the Golden Nugget was great (we came last year on a whim and came back this year for our anniversary because we had so much fun last time), the Gordie Brown show was a tremendous letdown. His material is was not only dated (Clinton jokes? Really?), but actually pretty racist. Cosby = rape jokes, Sammy Davis Jr. = cocaine jokes, Stevie Wonder = weed jokes? Dean Martin = nothing. Tom Jones = nope. I was also pretty distracted by his ridiculously white teeth. It also seemed like he took a LOT of his mannerisms from Robin Williams. We ended up leaving about 20 minutes into the show. Luckily the tickets were free.
