  • Read a few reviews which tout El Toro as much better than La Unica... sorry to say I can't agree. For me, La Unica is still our go-to Mex, and one of our neighbors, a transplanted Bay Area Mexican, agrees. But El Toro is adequate and I would return if I didn't want to brave the wait at La Unica. I had the Carnitas dinner, not on the menu, and it was good, as was the top shelf marg. My dining companion complained on excessive breading on the Chile Relleno and didn't care much for the standard salsa but liked the salsa piquante which we asked for. She also liked her burrito and skinny marg.
