Briggs delivers good shellfish at a reasonable price. My gumbo and lobster mac & cheese were both very good, but isn't the definition of a five star rating on Yelp "as good as it gets"? They weren't quite that good. I also tasted my wife's crab corn chowder and one of the fried oysters. Again, good but not great.
I also have to give a little bit of a downgrade for ambiance. The small room (open to the casino) with stark white tile walls, has a little bit of a fast food restaurant feel to it.
If Briggs was down the street from my office, I would go there for lunch all the time. (Oddly, Briggs is not open for lunch, although the menu seems perfect for it.) And I will go back. But not for a really high end seafood dinner.
