  • I heard a lot of hype about this restaurant from my friends in NYC but I thought to myself, Montreal has some amazing options when it comes to donair, shawarma places so my expectations were low. As I was walking by, some instinct inside me said, just go in and try it. Boy am I happy I did. The place is amazing!!!! First thing, I was greeted with was a friendly smile and a witty, funny server. I asked for some advice on what to get and finally chose the beef gyro sandwich. I am a very picky eater so I told the server that for sauces I only wanted hot sauce. I am a true hot sauce guy. In fact, I date girls based on hot sauce tolerance sometimes. The server warned me that the sauce is really hot but I simply rolled my eyes at that. I mean I love hot sauce, I can handle anything! By the time my pita was made it looked like a piece of art. The beef was pouring out lettuce and tomatoes were fresh and pita bread looked good. I get really annoyed sometimes when I go to kojax or other places and they put meat in your pita and then pull it out as if they put too much. I mean once it's in the pita it has to stay in there, don't be cheap with the meat! The server at Halal guys loaded the meat inside until it couldn't take anymore. I finally took my first bite and it was melt in your mouth good! Pita was so soft, the meat was so tasty, the lettuce and tomatoes were really fresh and hot sauce was crazy hot. The guy did not lie, I was sweating! Thanks for the warning! I feel bad for the other restaurants around this place as I don't thinks I will be able to walk by this one with grabbing something. Thanks for opening in Montreal! Can't wait for my next order.
