  • Frustrating to see a chain store get caught up in corporate politics and be understaffed all of the time, there is so much room for improvement at almost every Ulta store I have been to. I say the same thing with Sephora. I wish someone would start up a local store and sell everything Ulta and Sephora does, and it would be ran better and have incentives to keep items in stock. And bad publicity surrounding Ulta with re-selling used cosmetics is turning me off from shopping here. If Ulta was to give out small samples of foundation (Tarte, Too Faced, etc) there would be less returns. Make up is expensive- if it's junk or not the right color I am returning it. There is always long lines and one or two people at the register. Cosmetic counters should be clean and have testers in stock, in stead there are several missing, likely due to shoplifting. Lots of products are out, especially NYX. And the list goes on and on. I am having to test out what I can make-up wise and I am buying off of the website or Sephora. The salon is OK and I get my haircuts there, wish there weren't so many issues with the actual store. Store manager may or may not be an issue- corporate needs to let stores hire more help and have beauty advisors that can assist with products instead of buying blindly, and having to exchange or return the product when it doesn't work out. Simply put, most of these stores need more help behind the register and the floor. Ridiculous.
