| - I wish I could give them 3.5. Getting dinner here was supposed to be a highlight of our trip. It was a decent meal but nothing spectacular. Its a pretty place with impressive Macrame hanging on the walls. We were early. I ordered two glasses of red wine, which was delicious. We had eggplant fries to start. They were nice too. However, I can't fathom how does a restaurant charging 35-50 bucks for mains won't serve warm bread before a meal. I had the half roasted duck, which was good. My husband ordered the BC halibut, which he found the halibut to be too salty. He did not realize the fish had pancetta, because he is a vegetarian since many years, and did not know of the fancy bacon. He wished the menu had an explanation for it. We mentioned it to our server, adding it was our fault and she told us the same, and that we should have discussed dietary restrictions explicitly. This was unnecessary at this point, as we did not intend to complain or send back the dish. I had the pancetta from his plate. We shared a pie for dessert, which was too sickly sweet for me, but not terrible. Our bill was over 100 bucks!
