  • I came here for one of those financial dinners, which allowed me to invite 3 friends. I told my friends I wasn't gonna sit with them cos I see them up to 4 times a week, and I wanna meet new people. i sat with a single lady, and a Korean couple. The four of us had such a great time talking, that we are going to meet in another week for Korean BBQ. We all had the 8 oz filet mignon medium rare. i wish mine was rare as i asked for rare/med rare. oph well, it was tender, quite gamey tasting, like Ruth Chris' filet, but oddly, filet mignon at The Keg is NOT gamey, not that I mind gamey. i prefer the Ruth Chris filet because of the butter, ummmm smells soooo good, like frying in butter on your plate. But the Flemings version was served to us with no meat juices or butter at all. I thought the meat was rather dry, and wished for something to dip in. We were given asparagus, which "was not enough:" and fortunately the Koren lady asked for more asparagus and they brought another plate, really hot! Good! Also had the usual mashed potatoes with the skins, which was quite sticky and gooey. That caesar salad with crispy proscuitto, quite a small salad, can't believe it costs $12 on the menu. Bread was not baked crispy enough, if I were not with these other people who already touched the bread i would have sent it back for more baking, or asked for extra crispy. But our dinner was free to us by our host, so I can't be too vocal not paying for it. The cheesecake was really really delicious, it was not so heavy and had light berry sauce on top and a dollop of whipped cream. What is heavy? TJ's brand of cheese cake is HEAVY TO MEEEEE. I asked for my cheese cake to go, but ended eating half of it, just couldn't stop. I really enjoyed the company I was seated with, and service was excellent. We were in a small meeting room which was well-lit. I would not have liked to sit outside this meeting room as I like bright lighting on my table.
