  • A good sign is when it doesn't smell like dog. If a place that is housing that many animals can manage to NOT smell like dog, then it is very well kept. The volunteers we encountered were nice, the dogs had more space then I've seen in other facilities, and the cats had a room where you could go in and interact with them. I wish we could pet the dogs. But you have to be seriously interested in adopting that particular dog before you interact with them.
