  • Probably the worst stay I've had (of many) in Vegas. First, they charge a resort fee ON TOP of what you thought you had locked in and prepaid on Priceline (a site that does virtually nothing alert you to this abuse, never mind do the right thing: negotiate it into the price you think you're paying upon acceptance). Second: no coffee in the rooms. They say: "there's a Starbucks in the lobby," which is a hike from the north tower. Third: the condition of the room is mediocre, and it looks like they skimp on cleaning and maintaining the common elevator area. Fourth: they lay one of those housekeeping envelopes in the rooms, which is pretty dangerous. It creates the incentive to retaliate against guests if there is no tip. There is no such custom of tipping hotel housekeepers. Are they being paid enough? Fifth: the overall character and vibe of the place and the guests they mostly attract is pretty ghetto. This place is a slum compared to most places on the Strip. One way to avoid this place on Priceline is to not book at the three star level (even though this place probably classifies as about 2.5 stars), but a more direct way is to attempt direct negotiation with the hotels that do not charge "resort fees," which is what I will now do in Vegas until they disappear.
