Growing up Italian I know my desserts. So I can make the next statement without hesitation. Alati-Caserta is by far the best bakery in Montreal and maybe on the whole east coast of North America. Why only east coast because I can compare with the places I have visited in Boston, NYC, Philadelphia, New Jersey & so on all the way to Florida. I love trying Italian pastries every where I visit & nothing so far is better. In my opinion their best pastries are sfogiatelle, bah bah and lobster tail. Don't get me wrong everything else is still very delicious but those 3 are hard to beat. I could be stuffed with no more room for anything else but if someone would put any of those 3 items in front of me I wouldn't even blink! That's the true test something is that good! Hats off to all the hard working bakers in the kitchen.
