As far as flying on an airplane this wasn't bad.
We've heard a lot of stories about the horrible things happening to passengers but it seems like most flights are rather normal. I was able to check in at a kiosk, check my bag, go through security, and hit up Starbucks to fortify me for my trip back to Kentucky.
So, yeah, I had a problem betwixt the kiosk and checking my bag but the people working for the airline worked with me to quickly resolve the issue and get my bag on the plane and me out of their hair. Was it frustrating? Absolutely! Should I be like the rest of you people and take it out on the woman behind the counter? Nope.
I have a good experience flying because the people at American Airlines are proactive when there is a problem and work with you to fix them. I also CHOOSE to have a good flight and a good experience, collecting all the snafus as anecdotes for a funny story later. So, yeah, going through security is a drag and the people sometimes are tired and grouchy or too chatty or extra, but they're people and the airport is our answer to a lack of medieval torture in our daily lives.
I was able to get from Charlotte to Louisville in under two hours at a reasonable price. I'm very happy with my experience.
