It was my first time at the FBH and I was craving stew with frybread
Since I was in the area, I thought I would stop in and get some
The service was just okay, the guy behind the counter was helpful but not very nice
He was brief and choppy, if that makes sense
This joint is owned and operated by Tohono Oodham natives and they have another one located in central Phoenix...
I ordered the hominy stew with a Frybread
Joedd special apparently
I also got a cup for water and the guy handed me a cup with ice without telling me where the water was... I searched around for a bit and finally found it, it's the small spicket near the ordering station...
My food didn't take too long as I am sure the stew was warmed up and frybread usually doesn't take long as well... The stew itself was really good, my only complaint was the size of the bowl-for the price... But other than that, I enjoyed it...
The frybread was a lot crunchier than I like... I ended up eating more of the outside and working my way towards the center which was crunchy... That part I left on the plate...
All in all it was good to experience the FBH East and perhaps I will try the FBH in Central Phoenix...
