Our family moved out of Cleveland about 30 years ago, and we still had fond memories of Heck's Cafe in Ohio City. So when a recent road trip took us back through town we decided to try it out again. The back dining room with the spiral staircase looked familiar, but a new expansion provided so much needed extra space.
Fortunately, the food here was as good as we remembered - if not better. The Teriyaki burger I tried was a good choice. Back in the day Heck's was famous for it's coffee (good coffee was much less common back then) so my dad tried the coffee for nostalgia's sake - it smelled as good as he remembered.
It's great to see this place has held up so well.
