  • So enough of this mainland fancy shmancy poke bowl craze with all your fancy mix ins and what not. Paina Cafe comes directly from Hawaii and plopped itself in Vegas' Spring Mountain/Koreatown area and I could not be happier. Located in the same plaza at Greenland supermarket, Paina Cafe serves up poke bowls the way they are served at home: fish on top of rice. That's it plain and simple. The recent trend of poke bowls and sushi burritos that has been plaguing Vegas has changed the way meaning/expectation of what poke and poke bowls really are in Hawaii. I would highly recommend trying this place out. I usually get the half spicy ahi and half shoyu poke bowl at home but when I came to Paina Cafe here I opted for just spicy ahi because I love it that much! The fish was great quality and the fish to rice ratio is pretty spot on. Price-wise it may be a little more expensive than Hawaii but I'd gladly pay for quality when it comes to fish/poke.
