I've left 5 star reviews in the past for Islamorada but can't any longer. My last 3 or 4 visits have been disappointing. The food used to be well prepared and fresh. Lately it has been lazy and poor quality. A few weeks ago I had a shrimp po boy and it was 5 shrimp on a hard bread roll. Last night I ordered the Islamorada fish sandwich - small, once frozen piece of mahi grilled, it was a perfect square and wasn't fresh, straight from Costco probably. It came with less than 20 French fries, most of them small nubs the size of a thumbnail. I had to ask for tartar sauce and an adult serving of fries. There was no ketchup on the table and none was brought. For $15 I expect more, Rubios does better than this actually. This used to be a great place for a good meal but now the kitchen is disinterested in cooking with any pride and it feels like corporate has put some cost cutting measures in place in hopes no one notices the much smaller portions and lower quality.
