rev:text	1 star at the most. Do NOT go with Saguaro Landscaping. Steve, the owner is terrible with customer service and takes up an attitude with his customers. I called the office and spoke to his wife who was very pleasant. I asked for help with our sprinklers as I didn't know what was wrong with them & also asked for a quote on tree removal. Steve arrived on time and provided a quote for the tree - $1400. Then I told him that the sprinklers in the front and the back weren't working. I showed him to the water mains and showed him what I thought was the problem and said that i wasn't sure if the mains were broken or not. He took a quick look at it and said that the vacuum pump needed replacing. I said ok, let's do it. He quoted us $275, with $150 for parts. We then asked him for a quote for overall landscaping clean up - $350. WOAH! That should have been the first danger sign. We decided to just do the sprinklers. His wife called us promptly to schedule the appointment for Wednesday midmorning. She couldn't tell us when exactly which I found odd. 12:30pm rolls around and nobody has shown up so my husband and I call. Steve calls us back and tells us that the work was already completed. What? Nobody rang the doorbell to let us know they had arrived, nor tell us that they were working on the vacuum pump nor request payment. Not even that but they hadn't even checked to see if the sprinklers were now working. Steve said that they don't let the owner of the house know when they arrive at the house and don't let them know it's fixed. What? That does not make sense at all. Honestly I think he did this because he didn't want us to know how long it took for the part to be installed so that we could calculate labor/hour costs. I was frustrated but told him that I would check to see if the sprinklers were working and call him back. Well they turned on all right but wouldn't shut off. Called him back to let him know that the vacuum breaker wasn't the issue. Then he begins to talk down to me, almost yelling, telling me that I wanted the vacuum breaker fixed and that is the work they completed. And if I wanted a sprinkler check, that that is a different service I should have requested. He suggested that the valves were broken and then indicated that he would have to charge extra for fixing those. Ridiculous. I told him that when I called for help that all I said was that I needed the sprinklers to work again and that I didn't know what the exact problem was. He was a real jerk to me on the phone and that is when I ended the phone call by telling him that I didn't like the way the conversation was going and that I was going to call somebody else. I ended the phone call. Then he calls me back three times in a row and leaves me a vm claiming that the call was dropped and he didn't know what was wrong. He really is unpleasant to talk to and work with and really should not be in business. I hope more reviews like this teach him that customer service is a worth while activity and that without it, his business WILL fail. Now I'm headed over to any other review site I can to warn others about this shady business.
