| - Rose Nail Lounge is located in the far NW part of the Valley and it's absolutely beautiful inside. Everything is clean, pink, and glittery which goes along with the Rosé theme. The staff is very friendly and customer oriented, and they have a ton of glitter colors to choose from.
For me, that's where the positive ended. Not that anything was bad, but I just didn't seem to have the same experience as others.
I was first introduced to this salon after a sweet Yelp event where we totally spoiled. I knew not to judge based on that alone so I was stoked to receive a 40% off coupon to return. The discount applied to all services, so I went all out and got the Rockstar mani and pedi, and I added the jelly option to my pedicure. It makes the water feel like you're soaking in boba. Strange comparison I know, but it was very squishy and interesting. The rockstar option also comes with a hard glitter gel color. I confirmed that this was like any other gel when it comes to the removal process, now that it's been a month I can very much confirm that is not true, as it took my normal nail shop over 30 minutes to get this stuff off my nails. To be honest, I still have it on my toes because I don't want to go through that again. What a pain! So note: rockstar gel, NOT the same.
Also, I have to add that with my coupon my total still was over $70. WHAT?! 40% and I am still paying over my normal price?! Now, on another note, it did last forever! And maybe they have a better removal process. But overall, I'd rather not struggle when it comes to my nail color change.
Another note, I wasn't offered any Rosé as some other reviews mentioned. So I pay extra for this classy salon feel, yet the only thing different about this place was the price, and a couple techniques.
I am totally ok with paying more for food, services, ambiance, when deserved. But here, I don't feel that the up-charges are warranted.
Was my experience bad, no?
Was it something to be super excited about? Also no.
I can't say I'll be back, and unless they have a strong group of regulars, or consider lowering their prices, I don't think they'll be around forever.
