The best thing about Dr. Khoury is the ease of scheduling appointments and wait times. I found Dr. Khoury's bedside manner to be poor. I had two visits with her and in my experience she was unemphatic, impersonal, detached, and generally uncaring. I felt like it was my duty to "extract" information out her. She wasn't very forthcoming with information that I felt should have been presented naturally during our visit. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that she was somewhat condescending in my interactions with her. In my experience, her medical knowledge was average at best and I had to ask her more than once to actually show me the results of my MRI. To be honest, I had to get somewhat aggressive and demand that she show me the results as I felt she was blowing me off. There is no possible way I would ever allow Dr. Khoury to operate on my body. In fact, I did not even feel comfortable with allowing her to inject my knee with cortisone. I picked Dr. Khoury based on e her online reviews, which I am now wondering how many are actual patients or if her reviews are just ballot stuffings. If she is so popular then why is it so easy to get appointments? I called several other more prominent orthopedic surgeons in the Phoenix metropolitan area - who have far less reviews than she and their wait times were much longer. I am wondering why this is? I absolutely do not recommend this orthopedic surgeon to anyone except those desperate to get a same week appointment and are limited by the choices presented by their insurance companies.
