It is unfortunate that the establishment is not what is advertised on their website. Our family decided not to stay the night for the following reasons:
The exterior needs a facelit. The walls are worn down. The lake is not maintained and smells like sewage. The stone walkways are uneven that people are liable to trip and hurt themselves. We witnessed a bride tweak her ankle because of those uneven walkways and she had to be helped in by her groom.
The entrance greets guests with cleaning equipment and dirty pet items. There is an odor inside the receiving room of wet carpet. The leather couches are torn/dilipidated and the amenities are worn/dated.
The ceilings in hallways and in hotel rooms is very low. If you are over 6", you're likely going to stoop. The rooms and bathrooms need to be renovated because the stains from overuse is visible. You feel the mattress sag low enough you can feel the bedframe. The a/c heater doesnt work unless you stick your keycard in a slot to keep it activated, so you'll need to request more than 2 keys if you're with a group.
You are charged for stay at time of booking and they have a $75/hold day of. We were charged 3 times by the resort and was not made aware of their error until we called the establishment questioning the extra charges. Very poor customer service at the hotel.
Internet connection is nonexistent even on the resort's wifi. Front desk allows you to make local calls, but even their phones need to be replaced.
We did not eat at their restaurant, but their menu and hours are limited considering no other restaurants are nearby.
Management needs to seriously consider basic updates.
