| - I go to this gym because it's close, convenient, clean, and it's cheap. This gym isn't for bodybuilders, elite competitors, or barefoot crossfit enthusiasts...it's for regular, average, gym-goers. Don't expect a diamond-star gym here. Expect basic and you won't be disappointed. I know I'm getting a gym with no classes, no childcare, and no aerobics room.
Pros:
There's a machine for every major muscle group, and there are cable machines and free weights for anything more specific.
Plenty of space between machines and plenty of space near the free weights and stretching area.
Love the 2 stepmills, rower, and the lateral movement machine.
I go really late at night (open till midnight M-F..yay!) and it's never busy.
The 20minute circuit is neat. There's a red/green light that alternates every 30-seconds so you can alternate step-ups with machines and do a Curves-like circuit (Ladies...remember Curves?!)
Note: I was told when I signed up that I cannot bring my jump rope. Understandable - don't want to whip anyone in the face.
I got a really good price on personal training - I did only 3 sessions, and my trainer was friendly, observant and encouraging. She understood that I only wanted a few sessions to get back on track and it wasn't a huge ordeal when I asked to cancel the training sessions.
The staff is always friendly, and they keep the place very clean.
TL;DR Clean, good BASIC gym for the price.
