Charlotte has a LONG WAY to GO as far as the Uber service. My family and I had the misfortune of using Uber this weekend while in UpTown for the CIAA tournament weekend. We had a hotel room in Uptown and because we have the baby we needed a Uber to go up about 5 blocks so we used our trusty Uber app and a ride showed up in 2 minutes (AWESOME).
The driver was pleasant and he got us to our destination quick and with no problems.
The ride back on the other hand was HELL. The driver had no clue as to where he was going and as I watched the app I watched him go the wrong way to get to us for about 15 minutes when he was only 2 minutes away. I had to call him and direct him around the corner which is CRAzy to me because if you want to do Uber in a city you need to know your way around at least the metro area. Once he finally made it he was nice however he was clear in letting us know that he uses Uber as a platform to build his congregation as he just started a church.
I'm all about the bible and spreading the gospel so I won't ding him on that as the bible says to spread the word.
I'm dinging on the fact that the drivers don't know where they are going which makes for long drawn out waits and drives to hit destination. We had to direct him to the hotel as he was about to go WAY out the way.
