  • After staying here a second time around I realise that I don't know what I was thinking giving it a 4 star review to start off with. My reasoning back then was that the price prevented me from giving it a full 5 stars straight up. But I now realise that you really do get the luxury and service you pay for. I have yet to find anything amiss with my experiences here. Unlike last time, I didn't opt for going down to Deq, but instead spent more time in the room and swimming around with a bit of time spent at the gym. Like last time everything was great from service to the comfort in our room. The salt water pool area is considered part of the spa and as a result the atmosphere there is extremely relaxing and you almost feel bad splashing about (almost). It's not a massive pool but large enough to do short laps before submerging yourself in to their hot tub. Very comfy lounge chairs (and a lounge bed too at one end) surround the pool and their changing rooms are extremely spacious with fancy lockers for yourself and a nice big shower. The gym is possibly the best I've seen at a hotel in terms of a variety of machines, spacious, TVs on the machines, complimentary headsets (you should not take them home with you) and free apples to go with their cold citrus water filter. The Ritz still remains as the place to stay in Toronto (for a high price), here's hoping they up their game even more when they come under pressure from the Trump Tower, Shangri-La and other luxury hotels opening up soon.
