  • I'm hesitant about oil change places. I was turned off by hard-sell techniques at some garages I went to. Fortunately, the Valvoline Instant Oil Change chain was a needed breath of fresh air. The staff here was very friendly, courteous and helpful. What I especially liked was that there was no hard-sell, and recommendations were based on mileage and quantifiable data as much as possible. Not questionable recommendations or up-sell attempts. I've seen lower prices, but the work was very speedy and professional. The price was comparable to other chains, but the service really shined. The only thing I have to ding them on is that they wanted my address. I hope they don't send too many promotional mailings to it. An opt-out option would be nice. Give them a call beforehand to get prices. There's also a lot of services that they can do at once, and check their website for coupons to save a few bucks.
