| - My daughter LOVES this park! It is HUGE with a ton of stuff for kids to do. They have ginormous slides (that unfortunately, the stairs to get to them is right on the sidewalk by the main road) that the kids adore. They have brand new park equipment, so all the slides, swings, jungle gyms, & substrate is all in great condition. You never see "creeps" hanging around so huge plus as a parent.
There is a decent sized basketball court next to the playground so every now & again you get to hear some language creep across into the playground but not so bad.
All the way on the complete opposite side, near the baseball diamonds, there is a smaller playground, & I do mean smaller. Still cute, clean, & new.
For the older kids, there is a bike area. Full of dirt mounds for jumping & doings tricks. Couldn't tell you the condition, it's not my cup of tea.
Nearby that is a horseshoe "field"(?), & apparently people still play horseshoes. Never knew.
Now to the reason I am giving this a 3 star instead of 5 - the dog park. It is atrocious. It is all dirt & dust. Completely dry. No water barrels put out for the dogs to drink. Just the drinking fountain, which some dogs are frightened of. No toys put out for the dogs. It's just dirty & put in like it was an afterthought. I have only been to this dog park a handful of times & my dog is miserable every single time. She has no other dogs to play with because they're down the road at a much greener & well-kept dog park.
All in all, this is a good park for your kids (if you enjoy sitting with no shade) while your kids play, but definitely do not bring your dogs here.
