  • The Old Fashioned could possibly be Madison's most famous restaurant. Their pub style fare, is good...but not in my opinion, worth the usually horrendous wait times because they also don't take reservations. They have a humongous beer selection, but I had the cranberry spritzer (a holiday cocktail special). That was super tastey. If you come here, getting cheese curds is a must! We did this in addition to getting a cheese spread and crackers appetizer. My boyfriend got the ribeye and I got a pork sandwich. We were both too full to finish our entrees. I will be back, I would just say this experience with our wait time, bar service and table service was very slow and did not leave us feeling we we're appreciated as patrons. Considering other Madison restaurants that priotize this, it was an unusual feeling.
