| - They ran out of chicken. This place loses a star because they sold something they did not have, and did not let my friend change her order, but instead wait for them to obtain/prepare more chicken, ending with her getting a plate of mashed potatoes and vegetables, and finally offered a to-go box for her chicken (which was ready after we had all eaten and hung out for a little while afterwards). However, I will try to review this place apart from this experience.
Like a typical nice chain from out of town, Brio has all the atmosphere and cool factor you can have in our cookie-cutter buildings. The service is accomodating, willing to join in a surprise party with a slow arriving group. The drink selection is decent, a fair amount of wine but a limited selection of beers on tap. The food is quite pricey for what you get, as I would compare this to a Romano's or Olive Garden in actual taste and quality, though they do get style points for appearance. I enjoyed the food, though, and my friends enjoyed the atmosphere, and that's what counts.
Except for the Chicken fiasco. That docks them a star, because when a situation like that happens, you should do more than expect the customer to wait and pay full price instead of changing orders.
