What was a beautiful ceremony for my best friend's funeral turned out to be a horrible experience near the end of the service. I would never have expected to be treated so badly by the staff or management. The doorman was a very large man who glared at several people attending the services with his arms crossed as if he were a bouncer at a nightclub. The wife of one of my friends needed to change the diaper of her son but the changing table in the restroom was too flimsy so she asked if there was a private room to change her child. The doorman, or bouncer, yelled at her and said "absolutely not, that's what bathrooms are for!" She was stunned and just walked away.
Towards the end of the service this man shouted several times at me and other people because our kids, being naturally restless and just being kids, made him uncomfortable. I literally felt like he was on the verge of becoming violent and the rage in his eyes was frightening. I literally had to step in between him and another parent because I was afraid they were going to fight. Who acts this way towards funeral attendants? This man should be fired! Even the manager was incapable of handling the situation appropriately. They really should not be interacting with people or representing the business.
The next day I called and spoke with the owner ( I think). He was at least open to listening and seemed to take seriously the complaints I presented. One thing is for certain though, I could never recommend Waite & Son Funeral Home as long as they have employees of such low class. I'm sure there are some great people that work there, but the two previously mentioned are horrible representatives.
