| - Not too sure about the service here, will never give it a chance as they quote completely crooked prices, but we bought a vehicle from this dealership and will never go back.
In spending close to forty thousand dollars, we would expect far more in the way of a good vibe, which we unfortunately did not get. First off, we were offered the dealers' wife's truck with 10000 km on it straight up, a complete insult as this is obviously not comparable to a new vehicle, when the original locate was unsuccessful. Was then told the factory order would take 8-10 weeks. Knowing this, a trip out west was planned, which was well into the 11th or 12th week, providing ample time for the delivery of the new vehicle. There was absolutely no communication regarding delays, save when we stopped by to check in and was told nothing was imminent. Not once did we receive a call updating us on progress, while the dealership sat on the deposit and left the trip to be canceled.
Finally received a call stating that the truck had come in, and booked an appointment to pick it up. Upon arrival, the salesperson who would proceed to put everything together knew nothing of said appointment, showing an utter lack of communication once again. Licensing did not get to the dealership until over an hour later, and the salesperson had the vehicle pulled in to be cleaned upon arrival. Was basically left to sit in the waiting area, even though plenty of lead time existed for things to be ready.
A bug deflector and hitch package were purchased, which were in the vehicle, but the hitch was completely unusable, even though paid for, as they 'forgot' the wiring harnesses. Shouldn't 13 weeks be enough time to get this stuff together? In addition, the service department quoted 1 hour to install the deflector and 4 hours to install the hitch, at a cost of $400, when the bug deflector was installed in 10 minutes in my driveway, and the hitch is bolt on, and took a grand total of an hour and a half to install. If price gouging of a brand new customer is the way this dealership does business, we're certainly not left with a good impression for future trips there for servicing.
After airing concerns, had a meeting with the owner, general manager, sales manager, and service manager, all at once in their conference room. They attempted to explain away most of these things, though finally turned over the wiring harness and a gas card that should have been ready 2 weeks earlier on vehicle pickup. It was basically implied that they were not contractually obligated to do anything, which is true, however given the time and trouble absolutely anything would have been nice. I guess it'll improve their process? The owner did seem upset with the process, maybe things will change as the GM has been replaced, but this dealership is a mess.
On a positive note, the Nissan Xterra is a great truck, now we just have to find somewhere to service it!
