My mom & I were shopping at the indoor swap meet to see if we can get some really good deals but we got the complete opposite, our shopping experience at the indoor swap meet was every shopper's worst nightmare. For example: My mom & I stopped by at a couple booths because they had nice sun dresses and accessories so I asked the saleswomen how far down are they willing to go for these items, initially they said they can take down $4 from the originally price but when it was time to pay for the items not only did they deny the fact that they said they will discount us but instead they were going to charge us a $12 sales tax when it clearly states in the admission ticket that the vendors CANNOT charge a customer sales tax because that specific swap meet isn't licensed to do so. Both saleswomen got upset because I made sure that I clarified that they CANNOT charge us sales tax simply because the business establishment isn't licensed to charge ANY percentage of sales tax. One of the saleswomen threw the receipt in our faces (despicable customer service) & we walked out. Swap meet vendors are MONEY HUNGRY SHARKS & if customers aren't "street-savy" then the customers will be eaten alive with their pocketbooks. Here's a small piece of advice: When shopping at a swap meet or doing business with a private seller be aware of the do's & don'ts, make sure you verify things in writing & always be 10 steps ahead.
