  • As a sport jiu jitsu enthusiast, one of the most difficult things to do is move out of state and away from your original gym.. After 4 years at an Academy in california I had to move to Las Vegas last year.. There are alot of schools out there that claim to be legitimate, claiming they follow the original art of jiu jitsu.. Unfortunately that's not always the case.. I was very happy to find the Gracie Humaita family of jiu jitsu academies readily available in my area.. Founded by the great helio Gracie Gracie Humaita follows the old school style of jiujitsu teaching principles of jiu jitsu on the mats and expecting studies to follow principles of jiu jitsu off the mats.. The head instructor, Mica Cipili, is a multiple time world champion holding over 80 titles in competitions.. He is a 4th degree black belt and has a lifetime of knowledge on and off the mats that he shares with his students.. It doesn't get any more legit than that.. The assistant instructor Gabriel is an excellent coach.. His knowledge of the game is far reaching and he takes the time to teach every aspect of the game in a manner that anyone can follow.. He is also a mma fighter. The school is spacious and new... The mats are cleaned daily.. The locker rooms are accommodating.. They have heavy bags for striking if you are in the mood.. Their kids program is top notch.. Teaching children disapline, honor, respect, and integrity... They have a great anti bullying program and I have seen the shyest child go from quiet to outgoing and energetic thanks to the program.. They feed these kids confidence Class schedules are great.. 11am and 6 pm every day for adults.. And the kids schedule is very accommodating too.. All and all, a great legitimate jiujitsu Academy that can change lives... All you have to do is step in the mats for the first time.. I guarantee you will be hooked just I like I was! I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends.. Two thumbs up!
