| - We had gotten 4 different prices from Lowe's, Home Depot, Imperial Wholesale and Express Flooring. We had Mark Stubson (a very nice man and no pressure at all) out to the house to measure and provide us with a price (which that is their bottom line price, that included everything. The other 3 estimates did not include moving any of the furniture and we obtained a price of $200.00 to move the furniture out and back in from a local mover. We were doing 2 areas, the Living room which included the dining area and the master suite and closet. All of the pricing was based on 1,150 Sq. Ft. we selected 3 different Porcelain wood look tiles. The retail price was almost $13,000.00, they advertised $100.00 Senior Discount, half off the insulation, half off the tile, $607.00 off all in stock flooring on purchases of $1,500.00 or more. He called and talked to the Manager who gave him an all-out rock bottom price for our job of $7,000.00 which was twice the price of our highest quote given. We asked how much the tile runs and how much is the cost per square foot for the installation? Neither question was answered and we told him the truth and that is it won't work well for us. Do your comparison shopping and get at least 3 quotes before you get a quote from either Empire or Express Flooring.
