The power supply on my machine broke so I took it into Mulqueens to be repaired. Without looking at anything, the repairman told me 24 business days for any repair. That's ridiculously long. He then carried my machine to a different part of the store and came back a few minutes later and told me I should throw away my machine because it can't be fixed. He said I might be able to find a new piece on EBay but that it would probably cost about $400 just for the part to go into my 20 yr old machine. I took my machine to another shop to get a 2nd opinion because I wasn't going to just through my Pfaff machine in the garbage. The 2nd shop recommended that I try 35th Ave Sew & Vac so we did. Less than 2 weeks later and $50 for parts and labor, my machine is running again. Good thing I didn't throw it in the trash. Not sure that I can trust Mulqueens for any repairs or purchases in the future ....
