I generally love Sephora. The ones I've visited back in Alabama are always clean and the associates are always helpful. I was on the market for new foundation and was hoping to get matched with Fenty. It was a rainy Monday and a bit busier than expected when I initially walked in. So I waited for a while to be greeted or asked if I needed assistance. Upon waiting for 5 minutes or so, I walked up to stand at the register so I could ask the cashier. As I was waiting, an associate asked me if I needed help and I told her what I needed. She asks a short, heavyset, African-American woman to help me and she tells me it'll be a minute as she's doing something on her clipboard and talking on her walkie. That in and of it itself made me want to leave, but I really wanted the foundation and didn't want to drive over to the Southpark location. As I'm waiting an associate frees up and comes to help me. She was so sweet and helpful as well as patient considering I'm fairly new to makeup. Apparently as she was helping me someone was telling her she had to clock out. She turns to me and apologizes that they were MAKING her clock out. So she leaves, but yet they have NOBODY available to continue helping me. I waited another 10 minutes to get help with a brow powder and I got fed up and left. I'm a retail manager myself, so I get payroll is important. However, I would NEVER tell an associate to clock out while they're in the middle of helping a customer ESPECIALLY when there was nobody else available to help. It was also dirty as several other reviewers mentioned. The highlighters were all caked with foundation to the point that they could barely be sampled. I will NEVER be back to this location again.
